Babies.

I thought this rainy Monday would be a purrr-fect time to address the question I get asked 98% of my life. Seriously though- I get asked everyday if I have kids...and when I answer some have enough balls guts to ask...WHY NOT??

Oh my little readers, for soooo many reasons. Now, I shall insert a disclaimer here- there was a time in my life when I was unsure that I wanted kids at all. Like, ever. Thankfully my hub and I have been pretty  united on this front. A little background info- we were HS lovey birds and I got married 2 weeks before I turned the ripe age of 20. Yep- I was a little sprite then. But alas, here we are 7.5 hardearned happy years later. So, now there is quiet chatter of babies and kids and whether or not we think we can handle what this horriblyfilthyscary amazing world has to offer.

Number 3 Reason?

Because I want to travel. I get that kids can still come with you when you travel- but even I know its not the same. Don't lie- you know its not. We are planning an amazing trek to Europe the end of next year- yes, I am one of those that plans extremely far in advance... mainly because we are trying to link up with my seester and her hub for one knockdownamazing good time. And, since he's a Coastie- its hard to know what will happen until they receive orders. But, we'll save that for another post.

Moving  on.

Number 2:

Its just us. Him & me, me & him. Well, and the fur babies. But having a tiny dog and cat watch your baby while you are gone to work? Probably frowned upon. My family is kickin' it in the Bluegrass and up in the Arctic of Alaska...and the hubs' is braving the heat/immigration/economy in the desert of AZ. Yep- so that just leaves us. Which is fine...but I'd much prefer them to be here- like 20 minutes away here. So all you peeps that have any amount of family members just around the corner, even an hour away, please don't complain. Because it makes me wanttopokeyouinthethroat very jelly. K?

And the Number 1 Reason?

Because we just aren't ready. Its pretty simple. We have a list of things that we'd like to accomplish before making that step and while I am aware that you can't be "really" ready- I think you can be pretty close.

So there ya have it. Baby Beck is in the future...I'm just not saying when. ;)

And just in case you didn't know what me and my future baby daddy look like, here ya go.

So- you think we'll have cute babies? All I know, is that if its a little man- he is gonna be drop-dead-handsome. Even when he comes out with that white goop.Even then you'll be able to see his blue, blue smolder eyes. David Beckham and Posh won't have nothin' on Little B.

A bit of Brit and Loving & Loathing

I write this as this song  plays in the background...I like it. Though I'll admit I had to ask the hub who sang the tune...Don't shake your head- this is a girl whose walls were plastered with N*Sync and B-ritney. Speaking of the B girl- I am heading to her concert the end of August...and I cannot wait! Yep- I am a -headshavingloving-umbrellapaparazzipoking loving member of Team Britney. How are all my peeps this Mundane Monday? I am thrilled to say that I survived another day in paradise. I really don't have that much to say today...we recently renovated our lower floor bathroom- and I am thrilled with the results. Thrilled I tell you! I promise- pics to come soon.

LOVING

Emoji icons in text messages. It might seem ridiculous- but I LOVE getting little picture texts from the hubby. *Little known fact alert* The hubs nickname for me is Chicken. Yep- not cupcake, princess, beautiful goddess or queenbee but Chicken. At first I felt a little jipped- but it has grown on me. And receiving a text mid-day with a

I heart....ya, that's priceless.

LOATHING

When I order from websites that say nothing about an item being backordered. But then, miraculously they email you (after you have paid and order is placed) to say, "Oh! So sorry- the item you ordered is backordered, we apologize for the inconvenience." Oh really? Do you? Do you send out inconvenience cards to the recipients when they don't receive their birthday presents on time? Hmmmm? Yep, this happened to me for the 2nd time in a week today. It was one of those times where a curt email is sent, with a "Please advise" in closing.

That's it for now my chicks- its only appropriate because I am Chicken. Well, and the fact that I'm fairly certain no roosters read this blog.

So many...

Thoughts. Do you ever just drive, with no music on, because there are so many thoughts inside of your head? That is me- 90% of the time. The other 10% is spent secretly practicing for The Voice and jamming out to the radio with my bff Adele...you know that song, right? Because- ....walkin' in the deeeeeppp...can really get those vocal cords movin'.

I have become a seriously-serious blog lover. I mean, I.love.them. The hub thinks I am ca-razy for stalking perusing the internet and reading all that others have to say. I have to admit that I am a bit jelly of those who are so good at their blogs that they have sponsors. If only...so for now I will continue to blog-hop and learn. You can learn so much from people you don't even know.

Loving...

Honey. Not just any honey though, this honey.

Seriously- there is nothing quite like spreadable honey. And it reminds me of Ma, my sweet grandma who is no longer here.

Taking a getaway- good friends, great scenery, a gorgeous cabin and delish food.

Loathing...

Immature people. This is a constant loathing tho. It seems that no matter how old some peeps are, they still act like a 6th grader.

Humidity. We hardly had a Spring- its been in the 90's since the end of April. This summer is gonna be a doozey.

Qualm.

I have a qualm. That's a fun word, isn't it?

WHY do so many people have trouble spelling? I mean I get Math. No- not like that...I don't "get" math- ie. 1a+ 1b = xy. Lemme tell you something- I have NEVER used this. Nope, not once. This is why there are calculators my friends. I was trying  to say that I get that people aren't good at Math. Because its clearly obvious that letters and numbers should never equal eachother. Duh.

For example:
  I can't catch my breathe! Uh- seriously? Do you really not know that says breathE? Such as, " I can't breathE!"

Or, my personal fav:

I wish I could loose this tooth.  OMGah people. C'mon! 

LOOSE vs LOSE... I see it ALL the time on my FBookey friends posts. And everytime a tiny little scream escapes.

Am I the only one that notices this? Maybe we need to go back to these days...

Say Wha?

I will have to excuse myself for being completely absentee on the bloggity front for the past 3 months. Sigh- I can't believe its been that long.

Lets review...shall we?

*February at a glance: Celebrated J's birthday..he is the big 2-9 this year. Completely re-dic as I have known him since he was 17/18. Right?
- Celebrated the day of the Lovers- with $5 Valentines Day...we did this b/c we wanted to compete to see who could give eachother the best present for $5. He won with a handwrote-in-pencil love letter. I honestly can't even remember what I came up with. Lame-o.

*March at a glance:
Uh- stammer...I can't remember much of March. Oooo! I do remember that I went to Atlanta with my main running bud Maghan for a Half- Marathon. Can I get a whoop-whoop for setting a new PR of 2:15? 15 minutes faster than my last half in November of last year.

*April at a glance:
April was a big month for me...one that I'd been counting down to for the past 8 months. I headed out of the U.S of A with my Aunt (her husband is my mom's step brother) to the Mediterranean. Our sights were set on Greece, Turkey & Israel. It was quite the experience...such different cultures, being on a cruise ship for the first time..and being away from my life for almost 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure that if you are a follower you are also a FB friend...so go check out my pics..they are pretty awesome! I would upload them here but most of the time blogger and I end up fighting and I get flustered and just not care about pics.
*I got to see my beauts (my momma and sister) during April too. It was so awesome since I hadn't seen then for awhile..especially the sister since she lives in The North Pole aka Alaska.

May at a Glance:
*Celebrated the Lucky #7 Anny with the Bubs. I can't believe that we have been married for 7 years. Somedays it flies by...somedays it feels like "its only been 7??"
*Celebrated (or tried to ignore rather) turning the 2-7. Seriously is getting older that necessary? I already feel the wrinkles settling in...Boo.

I can't believe we are almost half way through 2011. Anyone have any big plans for summer?
